I agree that's a problem. But I don't think we can blame the technology for that. After all, an email server admin can do the same thing, but they rarely do. T

I agree that's a problem. But I don't think we can blame the technology for that. After all, an email server admin can do the same thing, but they rarely do.
This is a cultural thing, and instances that engage in excessive blocking tends to become isolated islands eventually.
- sandov 7y agoWe can't blame ActivityPub, but we can blame the maintainers of Mastodon, as their website has a list of instances excluding the ones they don't like.
