An LA Times article [1] on the solar power plant suggests it can supply 6-7% of LA's annual electricity needs and deliver upto 4 hours of power each night.
I don't read that as 100% of LA's night time power requirements each night for 4 hours though; rather, that it can continue supplying at a steady rate 4 hours after Sun down. It's not nearly a replacement for base load power.
