The ad blockers on my devices don't prevent my in-laws, grandparents, etc. from seeing all of the misleading political ads that are out there (and I'm not about to take on sysadmin responsibilities for them, either). My mother-in-law was shocked to learn that the Facebook ads she sees are different than the ones we see. She got us this mop for Christmas and couldn't understand how we had never heard of the brand before.
