Automated training/guides have been around for a long time, but every shop I've ever been to just has one guy/gal that everyone asks for help regardless of documentation.
- apinstein 16y agoYes, but isn't it a horrible waste of time? Wouldn't people much rather prefer to tell a client "I've created a personalized walkthrough for setting up your account on your device" -- try that and if you still need help, please feel free to call back. Self-service FTW?
- johngalt 16y agoI completely agree, sounds like we both want the same thing, but wouldn't a better method be to just script the setup? If it's already detailed and personalized why not just have it as a script that goes through and sets it all up? If all the information is already captured why only display it on a screen and make the user copy? edit: I'm not familiar with the scripting environment on mobile devices, but this is very doable on normal machines. I don't remember the last time I had to setup outlook.
