Chicago's CTA only accepts US cards, even when paying with Apple Pay. My international cards weren't accepted at all, the card reader failing with a generic error message. I didn't expect Apple Pay being declined, though. On the other hand, both Las Vegas and Portland transit systems readily accepts foreign cards.
