I was thinking more of a custom shop 2-axis laser metal cutter installation with a keyed interlock, big red e-stop, warning signs on the entrances, mandatory eye/skin protection and some big red rotating light andons that laser is in operation. |-dB) I can build all of it, and it's not an area that the public or anyone else but yours truly will be in during operation, so no OSHA. FDA Form 2877 has an exclusion for testing/development/prototypes "(i.e., not distributed)." so it should be fine as long as it's not sold to anyone else. (Also, an AvE "Not to be operated by fuckwits." sticker is obligatory.)
