NameCoin [1] is an emerging consensus-based decentralized DNS system.
Any replacement will need to facilitate existing domains, it could be implemented as an add-on to existing resolvers like bind or dnsmasq.

- ohazi 7y agoOne problem at a time. I don't think it's a good idea to toss in an ambitious redesign of the internet name system when it's not even clear that we can get everybody to agree to just stare down ICANN.
