- wereHamster 7y agoNo. It's an auction. If you have 1.7+ million USD then it may go to you. You are one of the good guys, right?
- FanaHOVA 7y agoMicrosoft turned $43B in profits last year, I don't think they'll have an issue winning this if it's as big of a deal as the article makes it out to be.
- stingraycharles 7y agoIt will likely auction to the highest bidder, which (in a perfect market) is the person who extracts the most value out of it. They then make a compelling case that cyber criminals are very high on that list, probably in a strategic PR attempt to scare Microsoft a bit in what could happen.
