I wonder how different the internet would be if we had to pay a dollar a month to use certain search engines. Better privacy? Better search results with no ads?

I wonder how different the internet would be if we had to pay a dollar a month to use certain search engines. Better privacy? Better search results with no ads? Honesty no idea, but I’d imagine if a million people paid me a dollar a month for a search engine, I could hire seven or eight people and build something more private and better performing... eventually. Too bad that would never happen.
