Why did the timestamps on this article and all of its comments change?

  Unofficial reply ... Sometimes the mods decide that an article or submission was missed by the HN crowd and deserves a second chance. To do that they will sometimes de facto resubmit the item, which involves some minor tinkering with the data fields underneath. That may have happened here.

    If that's the case, it's weird the mods decided the system needed a nudge for this story. This is very much "The Atlantic Discovers Why He-Man Exists, Only Now YouTube."
