I don't think he's kidding. Most people think that being a "good ideas guy" is how you succeed without understanding that everyone has those ideas, but few can execute them. I'm sure many of us in tech were approached by friends and family with amazing app ideas after iPhones became popular without understanding that ideas are cheap and getting a product launched is the hard part.
