More like less-tech but my phone is on permanent-silent mode. I miss calls, but see exactly who called and can return the call or text as needed.

- bargsteen 7y agoI've done this for years, and it's great! The way I see it is that a phone is a tool that you should use to your benefit. The tool should therefore not call attention upon itself. A weird analogous example would be having a hammer that constantly told you to hammer some nails for no good reason.
- unhashable 7y agoSame. The iPhone is slowly getting there. Latest updates make robo-calling less of a thing. Wish list: allow perm do not disturb, enable whitelisting for allowed callers, allow total removal of phone app.
- OrangeMango 7y ago> allow total removal of phone app Apple still produces the iPod touch, and it runs iOS 13!
- throwaway752183 7y agoiPod touch or like Android product that doesnt have a phone but still has access to mobile data would be killer. I know you could carry a hotspot with you but thats another device...
- wilsonnb3 7y agoIt’s a little big for pockets but the iPad mini would work well if you carry a bag.
