Remember that one time that one random person struck up a conversation with you and it was awkward and you never saw each other again? Me neither. People generally don’t remember these things. Strike up a conversation and it doesn’t go well? It may feel like the world is falling apart at that moment, but you can rest assured it will be forgotten, and sooner rather than later.
