This one's a bit niche but if you're between the ages of 13-21 and not sure what to specialize in but you care about important issues and like engineering, please consider learning and specializing in an area related to molten salt reactors, chemical separation of fission products, or anything in the intersection of chemical eng, nuclear eng, and electrical. The world needs clean, reliable, scalable energy more now than ever before, and we have a serious shortage of talented folk who have previous experience in the skills necessary to develop liquid fueled fission reactors. So, if you're in highschool or entering university soon, consider this. By the latter half of this decade, there's going to be a lot of demand for these skills.
