It was, but software often goes over-schedule, especially in a brand new field.
- FireBeyond 7y agoThe prudent thing to do there, would be to exercise prudence. Not announce to investors and the public ever more grandiose targets after each miss. As it is we're on about Autonomous Driving Promise Mk IV from Musk, "fully autonomous, coast to coast, by the end of 2020". (That's after 2018 was missed. Which was after 2016 was missed.)
- optimiz3 7y ago> Not announce to investors and the public ever more grandiose targets after each miss. Those poor investors are really taking it on the chin today because of those overly optimistic software projections!
- mrich 7y agoA massive short-squeeze/bitcoin-like retail bubble is certainly not indicative of the strength of the company. Look at the last earnings report, it wasn't impressive for a growth company.
- optimiz3 7y agoMore capital volume happened on TSLA today than SPY. Do you think that's a retail bubble? Only the top 1% of global asset controllers have the ability to do that.
- mrich 7y agoWhy do you think it's appreciating? Do you believe that volume comes from large asset controllers going long at that price level?
- optimiz3 7y agoCouldn't find the source but supposedly today was long buying as opposed to short covering. One theory is funds buying ahead of S&P 500 inclusion. E: https://twitter.com/ihors3/status/1224362065906872322 https://twitter.com/ihors3/status/1224362065906872322
- mrich 7y agoThat sounds plausible, thanks!
- xkjkls 7y agoEspecially not when they are literally accepting money for the feature, which they have consistently estimated wrong timelines on.
