The "no mail to root" would be a major change. I generally put a .forward to a common sysadmin account, so I guess I would be curious their solution.

- asveikau 7y agoThe recommendation I see in a lot of BSD guides and documentation is to use /etc/mail/aliases to make root's mail go somewhere else. Works slightly differently from ~/.forward
