A background check before volunteering? Isn't that extremely counterproductive for getting applications?
- Waterluvian 7y agoMaybe. I work with children and the disabled so that's just how it is. I even had to pay $15. But there hasn't been a shortage of volunteers.
- brewdad 7y agoMy school district requires all volunteers to undergo a background check renewed every 2 years. I think it's pretty basic, mainly just criminal history. It's really a CYA for the district should anything harmful occur between a student and volunteer.
