- loeg 7y agoAnd IMO, being able to retire and live comfortably with your savings is rich; a good touch of frugality helps drive the very first point in the article, which is: spend less than you earn. This doesn't require tens of millions or more; a handful will do just fine, and not buying $40k cars is a great way to help get there. Most of the world doesn't have this kind of retirement. A good portion of the US doesn't have that.
- cvwright 7y agoAnd plenty of professional athletes do go broke buying (too many, too fancy) new cars and houses etc.
