Silicon Valley's cocaine problem shaped our racist tech
- metalliqaz 7y agoUtter nonsense.
- rendall 7y agoSeems to me like there are a lot of unsubstantiated allegations here with perhaps a veneer of citation, in that the named individuals actually exist(ed). There's nothing other than these assertions to link these people endemically to tech and Silicon Valley. Just seems like a shamefully irresponsible hot take, designed to generate clicks for the Guardian, not actually inform. When I was a child of sincerely anti-racist, feminist, liberal parents, they taught me that, when speaking of a group of people, to always include a qualifier of some sort, such as "most" or "some" or "many" or "a few". For example, rather than "Silicon Valley was a white paradise", I would have to say "Silicon Valley was a paradise for some white people". Seems painfully naive.
