Good to see an engineer taking helm of the company from the previous CEOs which were from sales. Maybe we'll have a renaissance like what Satya did to Microsof

        And? He started as an engineer. GP didn't say he had to be an engineer at his current company.

      Rometty also has an engineering degree. Neither of them seemed to have ever worked as engineers. I don’t see how he’s more of an engineer then she is.

  usually strong CEOs have at least some sales background, and typically technical chops too.
