My client is doing a lot of it wrong. To be fair, they got sold a lot of really horrible and ridiculous advice from IBM consultants (is there another kind?), but they also have people in charge (organizationally and technically) who aren't great decision-makers. As the article says though, you can't fix a people problem (bad engineering practices and discipline) by going from one technology to another (monolith to microservices).
