Came to the US from Europe in 2014, been living in a small 2-room NYC apartment ever since. I realize that not everyone enjoys living in a urban shoebox, but damn everytime i go outside NYC i realize just how much STUFF and SPACE the average American househol has. The huge property, the huge house, all the small and big appliances, gadgets, tools and obviously the riding lawn mower. Things like the tiny house movement and the sharing economy still have a long way to go.
