I'm trying to create a program that can procedurally generate regular plane tilings, in a way that allows them to blend into each other over space and/or time. It makes sense in my head, but I think it won't end up working quite as well as I hope.

- alanbernstein 7y agoThanks! I've seen WFC before and I think it's brilliant. I'm trying to do something with a little less randomness to it. I want to animate transitions between archimedean tilings (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euclidean_tilings_by_convex_regular_polygons#Archimedean,_uniform_or_semiregular_tilings https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euclidean_tilings_by_convex_re...). There may be a connection with WFC that I'm missing. My approach is more, uh, direct, I guess.
