Good, fuck the journal aggregators. Speaking as someone who has published papers, I'd happily (and do, via ResearchGate) give them away for free. I made the noob mistake of putting them up on my own website before being shouted at by an editor for giving away the 'product' for free. I'm all for journals, I appreciate there's a cost to keep them going but large publishing aggregators who take your work for free and have the cheek to make you jump through hoops for the privilege deserve to collapse. The paradigm is old and broken.
