- superpermutat0r 7y ago10x engineers make other 10x engineers, most of the time. Just look at mathematicians and their mentors and people they mentored, famous names everywhere! It's not a coincidence.
- DuskStar 7y agoThat could also be "the most promising students go to the best mathematicians", though.
- kokx 7y agoI think selection bias is involved here quite a bit as well. The best people in the field are more likely to take on pupils that they think are very good as well. And those people probably also do some self-selection.
