        assuming a particular permutation from the lexicographic order to the standard three-line typewriter order, anything other than A B C would cause absolute chaos and many a snagged ink ribbon. think about it.

    most of these young hackers didn't grow up with typewriters like us ancient ones so i do not blame them for not understanding. they will never know the joy of hearing wham! on the phonograph while typing a college application on a royal 7910.
