macOS scaling is the way to go here. I have been using LG 27UD88-W 4K monitor which is set to 2560x1440 and it works perfectly without any noticeable distortion

- s3nnyy 7y agosetting it to 2560x1440 brought its own problems sadly, macbook pro 2015-2016 don't seem to handle i well
