Auschwitz and the so-called Soviet liberation of Poland
- nisa 7y agoIt's not as black and white as you might think: https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2018/02/poland-holocaust-death-camps/552455/ https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2018/02/po...
- abrichr 7y agoMy interpretation of your comment is that you are claiming that it is not black and white that Poland was not the instigator of WW2. If I have misunderstood, can you please clarify what you are claiming is not black and white? Otherwise, can you please clarify what part of that article supports your claim?
- nisa 7y agoSorry, never wanted to claim that Poland as a country was anything but a victim that suffered under German war terror and also under the Soviet union. I just thought it's an interesting fact that anti-semitism was popular also in the polish populace and poeple particated in cruel crimes on their own. It was not my intention to spread some revisionist bullshit (which the article imho isn't) and neither I wanted to dispute that Germany is responsibly for Auschwitz. Should have made that more clear. I just thought it's interesting and not widely known.
- abrichr 7y agoThank you for clarifying! Sadly, you're right. Antisemitism does not appear to respect any national boundaries in Europe [1] or anywhere else [2]. - beastofburden1 7y agoSo many horrors and injustices committed against the Jewish nation. That's why I support unconditionally the State of Israel as the last guarantor of the Jewish identity and culture. (I am brown if that matters)
