This is what annoyed me most when signing up for Quora.
- ryanb 16y agoFacebook and Twitter just help Quora verify your identity, while also ensuring new users have nice profile pictures. They still have to create their own unique account for you, which is why they want your e-mail.
- lwat 16y agoI felt like I got duped into revealing my Facebook account for no reason. The page indicated that I'll 'save time' but as far as I can tell I didn't save any time at all.
- ericflo 16y agoIt will save time every subsequent login, because you won't have to type anything.
- lwat 16y agoMy browser remembers the login anyway
- abossy 16y agoQuora uses your Facebook friends graph to determine who you'll initially follow on Quora. It's been critical to onboarding new users and showing them relevant content immediately.
- taken11 16y agofor me its clearly a reason to not sign up with Quora...
- Udo 16y agoTechnically, they absolutely don't have to. They could create a perfectly valid account from your Facebook/Twitter/OpenID token.
