I always loved Ascendancy (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ascendancy https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ascendancy, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDeXKf6e46I https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDeXKf6e46I), which I still play sometimes and still find interesting. It gets a bit boring towards the middle / end of the game though as the AI is not very advanced and easy to beat. Still I found it to be more polished than "Master of Orion".
- conanbatt 7y agoI loved ascendancy but that game is unfinished. Combat made no sense, the AI was super dumb. But it had potential!
- ThePhysicist 7y agoThere's an AI patch that makes it somewhat better though. For me most of the joy of the games was in building up a galactic network, so I still enjoyed it very much even with the "dumb" AI.
