I don't trust Wickr
- servercobra 7y agoWhy not?
- quindecagon 7y agoI'm not them but I imagine it is because Wickr is closed source.
- rolltiide 7y agoClosed source, compellable US based company, lack of emphasis on being installable on privacy OS' like Tails and Whonix. They don't do anything to dispel the notion of being a honeypot and basically do the exact opposite.
- mobilemidget 7y agoI never heard of Wickr before this post.
- bduerst 7y agoIt's a go to for dark market comms these days, but other than that, this is the first I've seen it mentioned on clear net. I also didn't know it was closed-source and privately-owned in the U.S., which should have been a red flag for dark market users.
- rolltiide 7y agoIt's a red flag for many dark market users. When I see people offer their customer support on Wickr, I think "is this guy serious? everyone is really confident in this person?" and never contact anyone on Wickr.
