I feel like they aren't even trying with the categorization. Every payday, I get an email notification from Mint asking if I recently made a large purchase, in the amount of my paycheck. Why even bother having a transaction categorization system, if it can't tell the difference between a deposit and a withdrawal?

Cant you tell it "always categorize"

  You can tell it, it won't necessarily work. I've recategorized a certain transaction pattern and marked it "always categorize" every paycheck for several months.
