I was an IT admin for a company of 100 people. If you mess with employee's browsers or browser layouts or search functionality, you are going to get a LOT of angry users. Furthermore, Microsoft is forcing companies who do not want this functionality to take evasive action to prevent this from happening. It's not the fact that this functionality is useful or the fact that this functionality isn't evil thats making people angry. Its the fact that they are forcing changes on people that people may not want or need. That is user hostile behavior.
