This is an insidious straw-man.
Do not pretend your only options in life are either working for Facebook or your children starve to death on the street.
Instead, if your recruiter suggests an interview at Facebook or a "Reputation Management" company or a "really cool face scanning tech" company... maybe act with a moral compass and say "What else ya got?"
