There's an excellent Postgres data mapper called Pomm: http://www.pomm-project.org/ http://www.pomm-project.org/ with similar concepts to Java's jOOQ. I can't think of any ORM that makes MySQL a hard depedency. Doctrine, EasyDB, Atlas ORM, ... all support Postgres or any other DB.
