This nailed it for me. I came back to write some go last night after not writing it for a long time. The modules, go dep, etc stuff really put me off. Whereas beforehand (been writing stuff for a few years, not hobbyist, just not super complex) it was intriguing..now it seems like they've just moved on in one direction for packages. However, that direction is not really super well documented, intimidsting, and sure as hell doesn't work as well as nuget or npm.
