I am 50 and have been programming since I was 11. I learn new tech all the time. Just enough to find out if it is worth learning deeply or whether it is just another flavour of something I already know. 95% of the time it is just another flavour of what I already know so I can safely leave it alone until I need it (again 95% of the time I won't ever need it).
