Are you using AWS or GCS? Maybe Kubernetes would be a cheaper option...
Definitely submit this as a "Show HN"!
- jimatlampio 7y agoThank you! Its built on kube (gke) on gcp. For pricing we just started with the standard retailer keystone margin without oversell/oversubscription. We're hoping ease of use trumps saving a few dollars a month, it has for our first few customers, but we're still testing it out. Our goal is not to be the bottom-barrel-cpanel hosting world, but rather the freelancer/professional market for whom the extra 10 -20/month is a rounding error if it makes life easier. Also as a clustered service where we handle the os/image layers for you its more akin to a failover pair of vps's with some devops services (like forge) so its actually right in line with those as a bundled price, we just need to communicate it better. Also we're working on improving the webhooks/ci-cd functionality to eat into the $/month people pay for stuff like envoyer or travis-ci too.
