Haha you know, I think you are onto something! But the main thing is that most fast food businesses (and businesses in general) are so focused on revenue that their employees and customers suffer. I recently used a self-serve machine at Taco Bell (love the dreadful beef chalupa) and had a poor experience. The machine was too low for my height and unadjustable. Poor design really brings out the worst in the fast food experience.
