I use a government surplus HP Laserjet 1160. I spotted it on top of a dumpster when I was a poor college kid, took it home, and used it for months before I had to buy toner for it. Generic toner cartridges are $15, and last months to years for me. The printer still has a “Department of Defense” inventory sticker on it.
