Here is my contribution (a webapp, a.k.a. a website) http://lalo.li/lsd/ http://lalo.li/lsd/ coded it years ago mostly drunk on an island in Thailand, I now like to play it again on my iPad with iPencil.

- huhtenberg 7y agoHow is it in any way relevant to OP's project being shown?
- idclip 7y agoSocial behavior, i wouldn't be too harsh on it. Nice game, it doesnt really take away from the op imo
- tudorw 7y agoAgree, happy to see a list of no-bullshit games go up here, this is a tough crowd so it has to make the grade :)
- somesortofsystm 7y agoIts a no-bullshit game, f'shiznit.
- reificator 7y agoPresumably because it's a mobile game with no IAP or ads.
- joshstrange 7y agoReminds me a bit of Jezzball (old game that shipped with windows) [0] [0] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VD6GQJxHh7E https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VD6GQJxHh7E
- asdf21 7y agoWow throwback, loved that game.
- joshstrange 7y agoYeah... Searching for that game led me back to Chip's Challenge, ended up buying the game ($2), grabbing the level file out of it, and throwing that into TileWorld (cross platform CC engine) to play on my mac. Nostalgia overload.
- rchaud 7y agoGood lord, Chip's Challenge? I haven't heard that name in 25 years. It was installed on the first home PC my family had. Windows 3.11. Played the hell out of it back in the day.
- teddyh 7y agoThis style of gameplay goes all the way back to Qix from 1981: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qix https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qix
- joshstrange 7y agoWow, never heard of this game (unsurprising as it came out a decade before I was born). I was able to play it here [0]. Arrows to move, spacebar to be able to leave the edge. Very cool! [0] https://playclassic.games/games/action-dos-games-online/play-qix-online/play/ https://playclassic.games/games/action-dos-games-online/play...
- teddyh 7y agoThat link is to an emulation of an MS-DOS port of the original arcade. You can play the emulated original stand-up arcade game here: https://archive.org/details/arcade_qix https://archive.org/details/arcade_qix Press F3 to choose language, then use 5 to insert coins, 1 to start 1 player game. Use cursor keys to move along existing lines, use Ctrl+cursor keys to draw fast, use Alt+cursor keys to draw slowly.
- OldFatCactus 7y agoWhich island? I just spent a week on Koh Phangnan :)
- _pmf_ 7y agoThat's really great and simple. I intend to steal it, but then I'm too lazy to do anything ...
- franze 7y agoTotally take it & make stuff. Think the concept now with iPencil adoption has a lot of untapped potential.
- mwagstaff 7y agoVery nice :)
- somesortofsystm 7y agoThis is a delightful game, reminds me of my old favourite Qix, and if I had a way to give you a quarter on HN .. I would! :)
- geuis 7y agoAny instructions on how to play this? All I can do is draw a line that then disappears when the dot hits the bottom of the screen.
- rtkwe 7y agoFound an interesting bug, if you draw a line directly over the ball it will just vibrate along it till it reaches one of the ends.
- franze 7y agoYeah, that's what happens when you code a physics engine slightly drunk. But ... the glitches make the game way more fun, and can be used to win unwinnable scenarios.
- jmdocherty 7y agoFreakin’ love this. Thanks. Genuinely inspiring.
- nyxtom 7y agoWow that is addicting ha
- nyxtom 7y agoIt's a bit remarkable how many various sports and games we have to hit or throw a ball; perhaps more remarkable how absolutely fun it is.
- moretai 7y agoawesome!
- vinliao 7y agoIt's such a simple yet challenging game, cool!
