I think it's a very common thing with success that people want to attribute it to their skills and not factors such as pure luck. Might also be a cultural thin

I think it's a very common thing with success that people want to attribute it to their skills and not factors such as pure luck. Might also be a cultural thing, in many societies there are myths of equality and everybody having a chance.
