The Ivy no-loan policies are a relatively recent development.
- dwohnitmok 7y agoMy impression is that at least for the last two decades, loans have made up a significant minority of Ivy league financial aid and most of it has come in the form of grant money. I think loans started getting phased out right around 15 years ago.
