Oh, yeah, it's not organic. But it's happened and we've let it happen, and people are now talking about it as if it's just the background state of things that Google can singlehandedly decide which direction to take the web. I almost miss Slashdot style "Micro$$$oft" discussions, at least people had some baseline hostility toward browser hegemony.
