My thoughts exactly. Companies in the same industries will probably have a similar profit/employee.
In my opinion, this comparison would only have been interesting if a large chunk of companies within the same industry would have been measured.
- j_baker 16y agoI think you need to be even more granular than that. For instance, I doubt the same standards apply to startups hiring salespeople as well as startups hiring programmers.
