This is the Northeast, with constant rainfall and low winter temperatures; short of wearing heated gear, much of the year will be miserable to ride that bike on anyways. A lot of people here seem to never have actually ridden bikes. I have, did so for 20 years, and it gets very miserable, very fast if the weather is nothing short of perfect.
