I grew up in southern New Hampshire (Nashua). Growing up we had serious blizzards every few years. The first big weather event I remember was† the Blizzard of '78. I live in southeast Alaska now, where it's a really mild maritime climate. Our winters are typically 30s and 40s, with an occasional dip into the 20s. Yesterday we were in a cold snap at ~15 degrees, and I was texting with my mother who still lives in Nashua. They hit 68 yesterday, which broke the daily record by 7 degrees. I can hardly imagine the world my 8yo son is growing into.
