How much effort is it to maintain k8s provided by a cloud service provider instead of something you have set up yourself?
- xemdetia 7y agoAs far as I have seen there is still updating overhead where you have to initiate upgrades to a known stable/supported version at a regular cadence. EKS suggests having an E2E CI pipeline to test it before updating production, and I feel like that's the only way to do it. There is nonzero churn even though it's managed.
