How about we switch to [newer technology](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traveling_wave_reactor https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Traveling_wave_reactor) that doesn't generate so much waste in the first place?

- na85 7y agoIt still generates some waste, though, so the question of what to do with that waste remains.
- Symmetry 7y agoRight, but we can't escape thinking about things qualitatively if we want to come to sensible solutions. If level of radiation is considered safe then we have to do something about all the potassium in our bodies.
