Hemingway would stop writing right when he was getting to something good, so he could continue on the next day.
- nscalf 7y agoI was fascinated with this when I first read about it, but I found this trick has a big downside to it: I couldn't get OUT of work mode. Sure, it let's you pick up immediately, but I found the reason was that I never put it down. Did anyone else have this experience? I will say, this did not occur when I "picked up" something else. If I worked on another project or went to the gym and did something stimulating (sparring, not just picking up weights), then I had no issues disengaging from the day's work.
